Piero's Pizza

Piero's was recommended to me by a friend. I hadn't had their pizza since there was a different owner many years ago. I ordered a pan pizza to be ready at 6PM and it was ready right on time. But when I got to the restaurant, I found out that there was no place to sit down, it was take out only. We was at a show in HP and we were going to have pizza before we drove back to Algonquin. We ended up having a couple of slices in the car. The pizza was fantastic, some of the best deep we have ever had. Unfortunately, with no place to eat inside, I don't think that I will be able to eat the in the future. It is too messy to eat in the car. You would think that with Ravinia Park right down the street, that they would have a sit down restaurant for all of the out of town people that come in to town. Once covid is over, Ravinia has show's all year round at their outdoor and indoor venues. The owners were really nice people as well.

This is, hands down, the best deep dish pizza in Chicagoland.

We tried the thin crust vegetarian special and a thin crust Canadian bacon / pineapple pizza; both were very good. Good safety procedures were followed when I did online ordering and carryout.
