Pier 17 Cajun Seafood Restaurant & Bar

This was my husband and my 1st time at this restaurant. We are from Dayton OH, and our server Larry was fantastic. Very friendly, great manners, kept conversations, and relatable. The food was melt in in your mouth delicious; Got the signature combo b, crab cakes, and the fried shrimp basket with fries, great for 2 people!!! Thank you Larry for a great experience. Very skeptical of seafood when I’m not near the sea. That said this place was exceptional, this is where my family wanted to meet for dinner on Sunday afternoon. The food was very good, better than a lot of seafood I’ve had in Destin and Gulf Shores. Fried food was fresh and not greasy. As far as staff goes Hazel was very nice and took great care of us. I feel compelled to mention there was a guy behind the back counter when we arrived and I assume he is the manager because he was interacting with everyone. This guy is exactly what every business should be looking for. His personality was better than any manager I’ve seen in any restaurant before and my mind was completely blown when I saw him stepping up and getting drink orders for waiters/waitresses when things start getting busy. Team player not a team director, you can tell it’s effective as everyone there customer and employee alike that I saw was obviously happy to be there which is incredibly rare at this time in history. I went there with a friend to order food to go back in January. I just had surgery a few weeks prior and I was really craving some yummy seafood. This was my first time visiting this establishment and I was not disappointed. The restaurant was very clean and the manager was super nice. He went over the menu with us throughly and when I got home with my selection (crab with boiled eggs, shrimp and corn it was well seasoned and still hot!!! The crab was so sweet and juicy that I wish I had more. My friend went back a month or so later to pick up an order for me and the manager still remembered him and gave the same excellent customer service. If you love seafood this is definitely the place to be.
