This is an add on from the last time I visited: First thing I noticed was the front food station was filthy, looked as if it hadn’t been wiped down all day. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant was a fail for me. My husband still wanted to order so we did. We ordered pasta bowls. The pasta was very dry and undercooked. I gave them another try and it was a fail for me two bad experiences.
I've always wanted to try Piada but I don't really live close. We happened to be in the area today and I thought I'd give it a try. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back. I ordered online and picked up my food at the window. There was trash on the ground that had clearly been there for a while. The pickup window looked dirty, from the inside. If I hadn't already paid, I think I would have just gone somewhere else. I brought my food home, and saw that they messed up my order. Instead of penne they gave me spaghetti. Not the end of the world, but something about the dish tastes odd. It has a weird chemical flavor that I can't explain. Obviously I didn't eat more than a couple bites. It's a cool concept to build your own pasta bowl with fresh veggies, at an affordable price with a pickup window, but Piada has missed the mark.
