My second favorite of 2022, the carbonara pasta is off the chain and for the price, it's like a steal. This is where you want to go at least once a week and in Norwood, it's the only place that won't get you sick when you eat there. Sorry it's true, thanks piada forNorwood. Culinary beacon in the nightmare of all fast food that is in norwood.
Had a similar experience to one of the other reviewers. We ordered pickup at 8:09 for pick up at 8:30, getting there a couple minutes ahead of that time, and finally got our food at 8:59, 50 min from when the order was placed and 30 minutes after the estimated ready time. I agree with the other reviewer that ordering online / ordering pick-up may or may not be to your benefit. For each person that came in for an online order, the workers let us know they were on back-log. The in-restaurant line seems to go by pretty quick and the workers are friendly— I just wish I didn’t order online. The food was good, but I wasn’t able to get all the items I ordered, which was a big bummer because I was really looking forward to the cannoli chips (that’s actually what prompted me to order Piada in the first place!) The chef was really nice and offered a swap for the dessert, a cookie & brownie. She apologized twice and so did one of the front-line workers for the delay and the missing item. I think
Normally, I love Piada. Ordered the Carbonara bowl with chicken and penne. The penne was firm, barely half cooked. The quality of the chicken was masked by the seasoning. I only ate a few bites. Then, I saved it to warm up later. I finished cooking the penne, added more sauce at home, and it was fine. I threw out the chicken because once it was warmed up, it was mostly gristle and fat. This makes it difficult to want to go back.
