Pho Yeah!

This new Vietnamese Pho and Coffee place just opened up in the Grassfield area of Chesapeake, VA!! OMG GIVE THEM A TRY!!! I cannot say enough good about them!! Food was outstanding and reasonably priced, it appears to be family owned. These people are the sweetest and kindest people you will ever meet!! Open and spacious, clean, and lots of sunlight from the window up front. Nick and I had the perfect winter treat. ????

My friends and I happened to run across this restaurant. It was about 15 minutes before they were scheduled to close. Normally I don't like going to a restaurant that close to closing but they made us feel welcomed. Even when I suggested paying for our meals so that they could close out their register, the gentleman told us to take our time, there was no rush. I know when I used to work in a restaurant, that wasn't my story. Lol! As for the food, I had Lemongrass Chicken with Vermicelli with a spice level of 3, and egg rolls. My friends had the vegetarian pho and vegetarian chow mein. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals! One of my friends sampled my noodles and thought it was too spicy. To me, it was good. I did add some of the chili on the table. It was dark red so, as I figured, it was extra spicy. My bowl contained lettuce, cucumber, and tomato in addition to cooked peppers, onions, chicken and noodles. I would not have paired the lettuce and cucumbers with the cooked food in the

I found this restaurant through a Google search and decided to try it. I had tried other Pho restaurants in Chesapeake and this restaurant is hands down the BEST in the area! First, and most importantly, the Pho broth is perfectly seasoned & clear. The side items (bean sprouts, Thai basil, lime & sliced jalapenos) have always very fresh. My first order was dining in and we had Pho Ga (chicken). Their bowls of Pho are huge! The flavor & aroma make you feel so warm and happy. This is comfort food like Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup. Tham the owner is always invited and happy to see you! I have ordered the chicken, flank steak and combo (chicken & Shrimp and steak & shrimp), fresh summer rolls. The summer rolls with the peanut sauce is delicious! I plan to stop each time I'm on my way home from doctor appointments in Chesapeake to Elizabeth City. It's that good! Hoping they will consider opening one in Elizabeth City! Try it and you won't be disappointed...It's worth the drive!
