PerKup Cafe

This unassuming restaurant serves the most amazing breakfast I have had in a very long time. As you can see they have a very extensive menu with lots of great dishes. I asked the waitress what they are known for or what she recommends. She quickly pointed us to the biscuits and gravy and french toast. Everything we ordered was hot and delicious and seasoned perfectly. I do want to call out that they have the best hash browns I have ever had! They are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, just amazing. We are planning another trip back again soon but this time we want to try their lunch options.

Sorry for the unglamorous food pic, but that’s when I realized that this may be the perfect omelette. Egg / filling ratio consistent from first bite to last and perfectly proportioned. The hash browns were crunchy, not greasy, and the onions were cooked but still had texture.

First, I must clear this up, this is not a coffee place. They do serve a good cup of Joe, but this is a restaurant. I'm always wary of greasy spoons, but this one is awesome. I liked the tech they're using in there. They have pagers for the wait line, handheld ordering systems. Really throws you off from the purple booths, purple cups and wainscoting. Greta caught me rearranging my jalapenos in my "kick it up" Omelette. She hurried over to me to check and make sure everything was okay. Everything was splendid. She did a great job. The food was great, I love to see the rings of Truth on a pancake that has been pan-fried. Features: Back to the good old days, but with a hand sanitizer dispenser at the front door ????
