Pepper Pot Jamaican Restaurant

The food is so good. Reminds me of being back home. The cabbage is great! The plantains dipped in the jerk sauce is a good mix. I love the beef Pattis and the festivals, had the curry chicken platter last week and that was bomb. The pineapple ginger hive is bomb too, made with real ginger!

Really wanted to love it but it was quite bland to me. The rice and peas needed salt. The curry chicken was okay. The service was very slow, but the staff very nice. Only thing is I wanted the ox tails but they were sold out which is a good sign. Maybe I’ll go back for that to support the small business and give it another try. Mango sauce was tasty. But overall it was just okay. But go make your own decision! They have a nice loyalty program.

Absolutely love! Ate there for the first time today and holy smokes - delicious! I had the jerk chicken platter (thank you to the owner for suggesting I have the sauce on the side!). Perfect amount of heat and amazing flavor. The bread, the sides - all of it was perfect. We will absolutely be going back again. (I might go back tomorrow just for more plantains! YUM!)
