Pearl Chinese Restaurant

Based on previous reviews, this place may have been good for a time. But after trying several different occasions with the same outcome, unfortunately I can't recommend this restaurant. Beef & broccoli -- one of the simplest dishes ever -- consistently disappointed. The beef was overcooked and rubbery, the sauce is flavorless, and the broccoli has the texture of frozen broccoli warmed in the microwave. The "silver foil wrapped chicken" was indeed wrapped in foil. However, it was burned and stuck to the foil. It was also extremely damp and had kinda turned into a paste. I bravely tasted the paste and it was overly salty. Seems like maybe they'd cooked it ahead of time & kept it warm in a steamer? Idk. Inedible. These errors tell me that they're either inexperienced or perhaps struggling to stay in business. Given the longevity of the restaurant, it doesn't seem to be lack of experience. I ordered combination fried rice with no peas or carrots. When I got my order it was like I had double the amount of peas and carrots. This has happened a couple of times. They don't read the special instructions. I ordered through uber eats and when i complained they gave me a whopping $5 in uber cash. I paid almost $12 for that item alone and couldn't even eat it.

I asked for the fried rice, paid $12 bucks for a plate, is kinda expensive if you compare the prices with other restaurants. The taste is good. But NOT my favorite place to go every week. I was trying to taste their food.
