Pasifika Corned Beef Kitchen

Edit: I used to love this place, but the service has gone downhill a bit (they were closed during advertised business hours on my most recent visit). Friendly staff and large portions of AUTHENTIC Polynesian food keep us coming back. We love the amazing corned beef! The side dishes are also excellent, as is the apple otai. A wonderful way to experience Polynesian cuisine! I ordered take out for lunch. They were open late the day I went due to a special event, but opened earlier than the sign on their door said they would. There aren’t a lot of options in Magna so I’m happy there is a local, ethnic option to stray from fast food. The restaurant is simple inside, but clean. The menu is easy to understand. There aren’t a ton of options and you have to want the kind of food they’re offering to go there. The staff were polite and service was quick. I ordered a large combo. It came with corned beef (you can pay an upcharge for smoked corned beef). I got chop suey, taro, and turkey tails as my sides. The corned beef was excellent. The chop suey was very ginger-y. The taro was good. The turkey tails were fatty but well seasoned. I thought it was a ton of food for the price (just over $20). And was more than enough for two people. I love their grilled corned beef. The faalifu kalo was another treat for me. The whole lunch plate took me back to memories of how my father would cook his Samoan dishes. Portion size was more than enough for me. I made two meals out of my plate. I don’t eat like I used to, but I appreciate what I eat much more these days. This food was wonderful.
