Real "oak park / Chi dog" great hot dog good prices friendly service and the fries are real FRESH TO ORDER potatoes.
Now serving ketchup! Haha, well this is definitely an eclectic location with strange food, but what do you expect from a triangle shaped building? They don't put prices on the menu anymore and it's cash only. ($23 for 1 hot dog, 1 Italian beef, 2 shakes, and 2 fries) The all-beef hot dog is available upon request and was alright. Shakes were interesting, they offer a cherry flavored one that is likely made with Maraschino syrup. The chocolate shake was a bit weird too, not quite malted and not quite plain chocolate. All in all it was a unique Chicago-land experience.
A short walk from my condo, they have good beef and hot dogs. I highly recommend if you are looking for some quick food in the Oak Park/Forest Park area!
