This man knows how to make an awesome sub. His Brooklyn Hero rocks. Roast beef with au jus is stellar. Cobb salad is perfect. Just the right amount of meat and fixings. To the dork who gave this hard working small business owner a low score because the shop was too hot while you stopped in for 30 seconds to pick up a to go order; get a grip. Folks, don’t miss this place. You’ll be glad you did.

Best Deli in North County. I go specifically for “The Jersey Shore…Papa’s Way” (Double Taylor Ham, Egg & Cheese) because… A) Where else can you get Taylor Ham in San Diego?…B) It’s a Fu**’en Amazing breakfast sandwich…C) It’s reminds me of home and …D) Because you’re not here. This place has the best sandwiches and no lines bc people would rather follow the other sheep for a corporate sandwich at Jersey Mikes, Quizzinos or Subway. But that’s a California thing, keep Walmart open and close independent shops . It doesn’t have to be that way, you can shed your wool and stand on two feet and have a great breakfast or lunch in the meantime. Or don’t and at least I don’t have to wait to be served.
