On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina - E. Colorado Springs

Our server was great. He even replaced an entree one of our party members ordered and didn't like. Was friendly and helpful. I got the border bowl. Half chicken/steak. Ate the whole thing. Good for a variety of ingredients when you're wanting a bit of everything. Cilantro lime rice, black beans, roasted corn, salsa, pico, pickled onion, creme sauce, lettuce, avocado and your choice of protein. Would get again. Steak had great flavor and chicken was good too. The only photo I took this time was of the yummy sopapillas. They are great imo. The trouble is saving enough room for them. Lol.

Great customer service and terrific food! Our waitress, Vanessa (from Oklahoma) is the best server. She made our experience wonderful. I ordered the sampler appetizer plate and my husband ordered the steak quesadillas. My husband ordered the Herradura grande (top secret ???? not on the menu, lol) and I ordered the pineapple margarita. Both were great. The plus is two separate salsa bowls! Less mess (sort of haha!). I think the only negative I personally have is how large the chips are. They are super fresh and tasty though. We recommend On the Border!

Not impressed with the quality, temperature, or portion size of the food for the high cost here. The chips and salsa were good and enjoyed the 2 sopapilla dish. But overall this seems like a very sad establishment, the indoor plants looked horrible and what seemed to be high turnover with staff as the guy waiting was mentioning it was only his 3rd day. Lastly the booths were gross and couldnt adjust for different sizes of people. Will visit other location instead next time.
