North and South Seafood & Smokehouse

The shrimp dinner was amazing! Incredibly tasty and lots of food that left us satisfied. The $5 old fashioned special on Saturday was also very well appreciated!

We love the barbecue at North and South. We visited Madison for the first time in the past year and a half since moving to Twin Cities. My wife always enjoys the brisket. I am crazy about their barbecue ribs, Kanas City style. Obviously they have upped their game with the ribs. There is more meat on these ribs than ever before. This full slab is right out of the smoker onto my platter. The service is fabulous. We always enjoy interacting with the owners Keith and Erin when they are available. We enjoy both locations, Mineral Point Road and in Verona.

The menu prices were a little more than I was expecting for the atmosphere of the restaurant. The atmosphere is casual and laid back but prices for meals were 15 to 25 bucks. We got the fried pickles and this was my first time with this appetizer. They were good! I also did the burnt ends plate and it did not disappoint. I took home leftovers and my son and hubby ate them cold and enjoyed them as well.
