City Barbeque

I'm so impressed with City Barbeque. The food was delicious. I've been searching for these hush puppies for years. The perfect mix of fluffy, crispy outer layer, and flavor. If the staff wasn't especially awesome, I would be back just for the hush puppies. It's pretty neat to watch a team work together and not take themselves too seriously. Keep it up everyone! I also ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Two thumbs up here as well. My partner ordered the brisket sandwich and was impressed. Thanks to the entire team. For making our first experience a memorable one.

Overall experience depends on the staff, decor, food. Staff were optimal regarding delivering the food and were quite friendly. The decor feels perfect for a BBQ joint. Of course you can't get a passing grade unless the meat is good. The pulled pork was excellent. The ribs were really moist and flavorful. The brisket was NOT dry . The sauces were a plus. I got a side salad that was an amazing work of art--never had better. So they hit a bullseye on all the targets. Some provisos: I would have used a little less salt on the brisket. Also, a common theme is that people wish the meat was more lean. But that makes as much sense as saying you wished the pulled pork was kosher-- if you want lean meat, you don't go out for BBQ. Finally, it's not so remarkable to be super-good if the restaurant is super-expensive, but City Barbeque prices seem very fair for the quality you get.

We stopped today for lunch, we did the Judges Sampler, pulled pork, brisket, chicken, and ribs. Came with Texas Toast and Corn Bread, and our two sides were fry’s and cold slaw. EVERYTHING was awesome, tender, and excellent BBQ flavor. The facility was clean and service was excellent, and some great Blues playing!!
