Mr. A Ok's Kitchen

I stopped in for lunch today. The atmosphere was pretty chill, and the food was very good. I ordered the fried chicken and two sides. Just as I was getting into enjoying this juicy, piping hot chicken, a group of women walked in with table cloths and decorations. I thought nothing of it, and continued eating my meal, and reading my book. I started to get nervous when they started re-arranging all of the tables, and setting them up to be decorated with table cloths, decorations, plates and silverware. Clearly, they were setting up for an event....while there is a customer in the dining room eating. They continued to set up while I was eating, and I realized that it would make no sense for me to continue sitting there eating, when the women were clearly waiting for me to move so they could finish. The staff was very apologetic, but the damage was already done. I gathered up the remainder of my lunch, paid, and left. There was no notice on the front door indicating to customers that a gat

The food was delicious however, I enjoyed the sides and appetizer more than the main course. Appetizer: Soul rolls Entree: Fried pork chops with yams, cabbage and mashed potatoes with gravy.

Best cornbread and greens I’ve tasted in San Antonio. All the food was yummy and we ate it up. The staff is incredibly nice and makes you feel at home. My toddler enjoyed watching kid friendly tv while waiting. Go early because they run out of items probably because it’s so good ????
