At Moonshadows Malibu, diners should not miss out on trying the chef’s special Grilled Mediterranean Octopus, a flavorful delight, served with fennel puree, taggiasche olives, and saba. Great place for a restaurant i recommend outside depending on weather. Beautiful breeze the deck has a great view. The food and drinks were quick did not wait long to try our delicious pick. The crew is attentive even having our own waiter we had other waiter helping us out. Great team work here.
Overall a great place in a great location. Ordered the fish of the day on a bed of black rice. The fish was fantastic but the rice was clearly under cooked. The waiter said that was how it was supposed to be. Not sure how he would know what the rice tasted like since he didn't try it. He said he could bring white rice which he did. When we got the bill I noticed the we were charged $14. Next time I will make sure to avoid the black rice or have them substitute white rice and hope they don't pull a fast one and charge me for it.
I'm a local and have been coming here nearly 50 years. It's amazing how this restaurant delivers quality, beauty, artistry in presenting and deliciousness. Moonshadows is my "go to" restaurant whenever I can. Photos are the delight Burrata. The bbq octopus is over the top delish … More
