Will never go back there, and I have been going there for 14 years! Waitstaff messed up my order, would not bring me my change, and when I complained I was told I was being rude. Really??

The Monte Vista Fire Station website reads: “the place in Nob Hill for Food, Entertainment & Fun!” Unfortunately, it’s also the place for Incivility from the bar manager, who exhibits the social skills of a leper, and from the owner, who seems more interested in protecting a mediocre employee in a tight job market than in serving his customers. On Saturday night, June 25, I was served a drink thirty minutes before the posted closing time. The bar manager, who apparently was eager to go home early, demanded that I guzzle the drink and leave. I refused, instead finishing the drink and leaving ten minutes later. I returned to the bar each of the following four nights. But on the evening of Thursday, June 30—the first late night shift the manager bartended after our little contretemps—he ignored me. When I asked when he was going to serve me, he replied, “In a month.” I objected, promised to contact the owner of the business, Kerry Rayner, and left. That night, I emailed Kerry, whom I have
