Great place to get a quick, cheap but good bite to eat. The burgers are reasonably priced as well as their sides and appetizers. I absolutely love the sauce they give with their onion rings. There are a few specialty burgers you can't make vegetarian (they have meat on them) but you can build your own, and the black bean always comes out fantastic! Vegetarian options: Offers a black bean burger patty and a veggie patty (such as impossible).
I ordered takeout and it was very disappointing. The best part of the meal was the onion rings, which were crispy and delicious. But the french fries were frozen crinkle cut and nothing special, and the burger itself was dry and the bun was a soggy mess, so drenched that it fell apart. The hamburger patty was easily cooked beyond well done. There was a fair amount of bacon on it, which was good, but that's about it. I've had considerably better burgers from 5 guys or Cookout, and considerably cheaper too. I really, really wanted to like this place as I've heard such good things, but I can't recommend it, at least not for take out. Maybe it would have been better to sit down in the actual restaurant.
We dined here on Thursday night, since we had just attended an open house nearby and were hungry. The place was bustling, so we figured the food would be good. It was just good, but not great! They did make a delicious mojito, though. I had a black bean burger with a fried green tomato on a gluten-free roll. The roll was tasteless and fell apart after just a bite or two. The burger was good. My BF had a veggie burger with lots of veggies and fries. They were good, but nothing really special. The service was fine, but, again, not stellar. We do understand that, since it was very busy, the slower service can't really be blamed on the wait staff.
