Good solid restaurant and enjoyed our lunch, However $68 for 2 drinks, appetizer (pickles) and 2-chicken sandwiches were not worth that price tag. I will be straight forward and honest; this was a Rip-off for lunch and will probably not choose this place again. Everything was good so it does deserve a 4 out of 5.....but it does not get my recommendation.
You can never go wrong with a beer flight and theirs is only $8 for 4 selections. The buffalo wings and fish were all cooked perfectly. The shrimp with garlic and red pepper flakes, fire! We all enjoyed everything we got. Excellent customer service. All staff were friendly and accommodating of our requests.
Moerlein has so many positives that it is a can't miss establishment. Location and views of Smale Park and the river are fantastic. Interior decor is great; second level with the best views was closed for some unknown reason. Parking is so very convenient and cheap when the Reds are not playing. They keep changing the menu, so some of my favorites are no longer offered. No more choices with respect to meat and cheese boards; you take what they have. Anyway, good experience this last trip and wait staff was excellent as usual. Parking: Availability and price of parking depends on other events in the area. No events -- lots of parking for about $7.00. If Reds are playing, good luck getting a spot, and price could be upwards of $20.00.
