This place has the most outdoor seating that I've ever seen. However, we sat indoors and had a great meal. The chips and salsa were tasty, we split some nachos and a pitcher of margaritas as well. Place is a bit noisy to have a conversation in on a Saturday night. I ordered a pitcher of the Orange Crush, which was tasty enough. I had the taco salad with shrimp and chorizo. The shrimp tasted bland and while the greens in the salad were very fresh, there wasn't enough dressing to coat it so it tasted rather dry.
First, Mission is an anathema among Mexican restaurants: Chips and Salsa are NOT included. That's $3.50, and it's served with your dinner, so it gets eclipsed by your meal. Which is easy, since the salsa isn't great; it tastes weirdly sweet-- "Like Progresso Spaghetti Sauce," said my dining companion. Service wasn't great. To her credit, our server did bring waters quickly, but that's where being impressed ended. The restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived, and yet our table only got 2 menus for 7 people. If we were checked on more, we probably would have ordered quite a few more drinks. The queso fundido was the best thing there. My dining companions couldn't finish their burritos and enchiladas, they disliked them so much. They only had ranch dressing for their salads, which were lackluster-- I've had better at massive chains known for being subpar.
