Great place! Full bar and they serve Coke products. They are open fairly late and the kitchen is open late too. Their chicken pot pie is legendary. But they sell out quickly. Also their lemon chicken soup is delicious. Tonight we got the open face meatloaf sandwich with mashed potatoes. It was amazing my new favorite. We also got the Greek style pork chops. They were Also good but very citrusy. For being downtown Chicago their prices are great!
It's a pub with a history. It has food that you'd expect, It has drinks from all around, and It has a classic interior atmosphere. It's a pub, with pub food, and pub drinks. The sandwich we got was a bit rubbery with the bread and sparsly filled. Ribs were small and left you wanting for more substance to them. Spinatch pie was great. Coleslaw was awesome. Fries were good. Lamb leg was a flavorless sop.
Visited here many years ago was thankful I found a picture that I tagged in to remember where to go again. It’s been around since 1930s. Pictures on the wall are cool to see of past celebrities. My favorite is the French dip, the boys both enjoyed their burgers & fries. Large beer selection many TVs to catch a good game and very centrally located in the city. The prices are truly not bad at all for sandwiches that come with sides as well as I noticed steak prices in the 30s and 40s as well as beer seemed very reasonable for Chicago.
