Mia Madre Trattoria

My first time there, I will be back. Lovely little family owned restaurant , just what you want from an Italian restaurant . The staff was wonderful, they went way above the call of duty. Meet the owner, they treated us like we were part of the family. The menu, hard to choose , so many favorites. The food was fabulous, authentic like my grandma made it. I highly recommend Mia Madre

I was a part of a party of 14 people. We had a private room. The family was very accommodating and the waitress was wonderful. The decorations were so appropriate to an Italian restaurant. The food was excellent. I had the Cod Romano and a side of spinach. Oh the spinach was delicious. I had never tasted spinach cooked like this. I would have liked to taste the dessert but I was already filled up. I will be back.

It's a nice place, but plan ahead when you visit. They're BYOB, so grab a bottle of wine en route if you don't have one handy. The service is friendly, but they're aren't in any kind of a rush. You'll be spending a good amount of time here; it's not an in-and-out kind of place. Pick a night when you don't have anywhere to be afterwards. Also, if you're hungry, grab a snack before coming. A fair amount of time can pass between being seated and eating. The food is tasty. I had the gnocchi and fell in love with the sauce. My dad had a delicious appetizer called a pepper loaf and mom had the chicken picata, which also outstanding. I'm looking forward to the leftovers tomorrow.
