On a recent excursion to Houston, the journey landed me square in the middle of Chinatown. After much internal debate on which delicious eatery I would select for the evenings nourishment, I landed at Mein. That turned out to be an EXCELLENT decision! I was promptly greeted at the door and shown immediately to my seat. Moments after assuming the perch, the kind waiter arrived and provided further insight into the offerings. After much contemplation, the Shaking Chicken was selected. And let me tell you, that was a staggeringly fantastic decision! Nothing but the highest praises for Mein! Excellent customer service by the staff, which exercised flawless teamwork. Food that left me wanting to eat more, yet knowing I must walk to the car. And an atmosphere orchestrating the pleasantest of dining experiences! FIVE STARS Mein! Keep up the good work! Highly Recommended!
Absolutely amazing food. There's Cantonese, Vietnamese, and Chinese styled dishes. The fish, the fried rice, and the chicken were all cooked to perfection. Waiters were nice and the food was exceptionally quick to be served. Probably one of the best asian restaurants I've been to. Would recommend 11/10 if you ever come to Chinatown in Houston.
Mein is a solid Cantonese family style restaurant with a myriad of dishes on the menu! We had soup, Chinese broccoli, a pork pancake, squid, mapo tofu, and toast. All of the food was delicious! We had a large party here and they took good care of us!
