Average entree is $35. Got the short ribs which was well softened and delicous. The puree that came under it still had some chunks of potatoes and was not seasoned enough. The grilled chicken was an all time favorite, just excellent chicken stock bourderlaise. We we serve a tiny amount of water and werr only refilled when asking, after the meal. No physical menus.
I got over cooked salmon and the fries were super oily, but had no taste. However, the burger was delicious and the drinks were great. Also we had a very nice waitress!
Max’s is one of my favorite Richmond restaurants. The service is typically amazing. Last week my boyfriend and I went for RRW. The service was awful. Our server did not greet us, made a sexist remark, and overall was not friendly. Food was great as usual. Bummed but hopefully service will be better next time.
