Matt's Barbecue

Matt's BBQ was GREAT! I had the ribs and potato salad and my wife had the brisket tacos with the elote as a side, the service was friendly and knowledgeable, we ordered our food and before we knew it... we were eating. I will be back.

Ah yes 4 stars from me. I'll have to be extra critical. Being that I'm from Austin, TX. I'm an OTR truck driver and my company just happens to have a base in Lemont. I've been wanting to try this place out since it opened. I got the sampler platter ($45) brisket, sausage, burnt ends, pulled pork, Texas twinkie, and a side. I got the macaroni and cheese. Tell you what. I shouldn't have got the platter. It's just too much food. Tip for the owner: do a half size platter for half the price. The brisket was perfect. That's what's important. The sausage I'm not sure where it's procured from or if it's made in house. Personally... too much black pepper. Same with the macaroni and cheese. But getting past the black pepper it tastes like something I'd throw together myself. Good job. Pulled pork... I don't want to diss it. Just not for me. Burnt ends.... same. Just not my thing. It's a nice building. Good music. Staff is nice enough. More tips for the owners: Offer sweet tea with those awesome

This place has really good bbq. My biggest issue is that their line is always busy. I was able to place an order for pick up the first time I got it and haven't been able to get through since then. I'd def give more stars if it was easier to eat here
