Maria’s Tamales Y Champurrado

Ok so not sure why they’re called Maria’s Tamales because to be completely honest, their tamales are NOT good. They give “store bought/frozen” vibes so not the worst but NOT worth naming yourself after. BUT literally everything else we’ve tried has been REALLY good! Like we go often to buy the other things so maybe just don’t buy tamales?

Ordered a menudo from here since its close to home and wanted to try it, got a gallon for me n 2 other people. once i get home and start to serve my self i took out nothing but huge bones!! i called and after the front lady asked 4 times someone said to go and get a cup with meat. i get there and they hand me half of small cup!!. NEVER GOING BACK THERE AGAIN!!

I’m not sure why these reviews are so bad. I just moved to palos and I have ordered almost every day for the past two weeks! This food is amazing!! It’s the closest to the taste of my moms food and I so much appreciate that since my mom is far from me. Being able to taste good flavor for once is amazing. From the tamales verdes to the gorditas/sopes. 10/10 would recommend!
