Our first time dining at Maple Leaf Diner while in Dallas. There was a 10 minute wait at 830am. Which we thought was great. The restaurant is nice inside, with nice decor and high & huge red seats. Our waitress appeared distracted. She did finally get our order correct, so no problem. While we waited on our food, we went to the clean restroom. Our food arrived in a timely manner. The chicken and waffle definitely have a nice appearance. The kids' pancakes were huge. The omelet was 3 out of 5. The chicken fried chicken was also a 3/5. In short, we would probably return. We like different restaurants. Loved all the mugs hanging from the ceiling. Kid-friendliness: Great options for children to select.
A short wait on Saturday morning around 9:00…hint: get on the Wait List from home. Christina was an excellent server. Hot coffee and ice tea for me was always available. My Lox Benedict was the best and husband two egg omelet and the trimmings made him happy. Update: Christina was our excellent server again…this time with my daughter, her husband, and my grandchild. We couldn’t say enough good things about the service and the quality of the food. No ordinary food, but fun exciting variations of classic breakfasts and lunches. Even the toddler food was delicious. I got the biggest kick of trying my daughter’s pumpkin pancakes. Kid-friendliness: Great food choices.
Visiting from Austin, Tx. Met my aunt and uncle for brunch befor heading back. I had the chicken fried steak. Loved it. The staff was amazing and friendly. I would recommend this place for anyone. I would also suggest to get reservations on open table to save you some time.
