This was my dad’s high school hangout spot back in the 70s. I flew in to Philly for one night and wanted to try it. Incredible cheesesteak. Great bread, tender meat, lots of cheese, friendly service. Glad to have kept our family tradition going nearly 50 years later. ????

This place was recommended to me from my former boss. I had to come back again after the first time. Sometimes, simple is good...in this case, it was Absolutely Fantastic! Be careful of the busy street in front of the building, though. There's a blind hill coming up towards the place.

Never had a bad experience at Mama's. Excellent sandwiches and courteous staff. Pat's and Geno's have nothing on Mama's, they are both a myth that was started in South Philly years ago.
