Mama's Famous Pizza & Heros

Great pizza. Great Caesar salad. Perfect combination. When ordering delivery, order directly from the restaurant if you can.

I'd like to think we order from this particular Mama's frequently. The past few times something is always wrong. Whether the pizza is burnt, undercooked, the wings are substituted out for mushrooms- the list goes on. With gas prices the way they are, and kids to feed within a reasonable time frame for dinner, it's absolutely ridiculous to pay almost $40 for dinner to have to drive back and forth (15 minutes one way) every other time we order take out. My teens are normally the ones that pick up the order, so maybe in a sense it's their fault for not understanding that the people that work there cannot seem to get it together. My only advice is when ordering pickup: ensure everything (I mean everything) is correct before leaving the parking lot. Ensure the bottom isn't burnt. Taste it to make sure the dough is actually cooked, unstapled and check all appetizers to ensure they're what you ordered. Should this be necessary? I like the ambiance of these locations, it is fun and nostalgic. The problem I have is we ordered a pizza tonight and they made it incorrectly. With two hangry kids we told them we would take the incorrect pizza (we had already waited 45 minutes to pick it up), but they offered nothing to make it right. No discount, no smaller version of the correct pizza, nothing. Very disappointing since I was craving their pizza the way I ordered it! I’m in no rush to order to go again soon. Maybe we will stick to by the slice at the store itself.
