I love this place! They are soooo nice and the food is good. The only thing i have to say that is a negative is the seating. As soon as you walk in, there is a table that seats six. It makes the entrance very congested. It is off-putting. I feel like it is a barrier. I think if they broke up the six to a four and added the small table that made it a six up to the table of four by the counter it would open it up without getting rid of the six top. Other than that, this place is amazing.
I had the pork chops, cottage cheese, and an iced tea. Walking in, they still have a smoking section which you can obviously smell in the non-smoking section. The waitress was fine, pleasant, and made conversation. The pork chops were good sized but one of them was purple in the middle and neither had any seasoning at all. Had to slather them in steak sauce just to choke it down. Also, dont wander in here thinking you are in the 21st century, they tack on 3.99% if you use anything other than cash to pay.
This place was fantastic! Straight out of the 1980s! We loved it!!! The staff was great and on the job, the food was amazing! Help support these small family owned diners to keep them alive! We will definitely be going back again! I got the country fried steak.....and sweet baby Jesus they use sausage gravy on it! Win win.....also they have great southern sweet tea!
