This has to be one of the best restaurants I have went to in years. The flavor and look of good is unmatched. Im a butcher by trade and have to say the braised short ribs were AMAZING. So tender and the taste was great. The waitress was friendly and helpful. You need to make sure to make reservations days ahead due to how busy it is. Can't wait until I come back to Raleigh to eat there again.
Call ahead seating made it quick to walk in and get seated. Great service. Our waiter came several times to check on us. He took our drink order and gave us time to look at menu. We ordered appetizers and they came in timely manner. We had the fries and and okra. The menu was a little limited. We ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich, a breakfast brunch plate, and the goat cheese chicken with Mac and cheese. The food was good but my son’s order was cold. Overall good place to eat and try at least once. The price was fairly reasonable.
It was a pretty cool atmosphere and the staff was very nice to us. Being from south Lousiana, the food felt really bland in some of the dishes. We did really like some things like the truffle fries and I thought the salmon was flavorful and well cooked. It had a hot glaze on it and it gave a good spice level to the dish that was definitely needed. Another pleasant surprise was the grits, they were creamy and had a good amount of salt and pepper. Overall we will probably try some other places instead of coming back.
