Food was good. The mimosas should be cold. So had to ask for ice. And the patio area needs a smoother surface so tables don't rock. Other then that, very nice atmosphere.
Lucille’s was suggested by a friend and I really had high hopes. The ambience was nice! It was packed but still cool inside! And that’s important in this Houston heat. I ordered the oxtail omelet and baked Mac and cheese. We did take out. I got home and it just wasn’t hitting. The Mac and cheese had to much garlic and the omelette was just ok. But is was full of meat. I would like to go back to see how the food is at the restaurant because it was so highly recommended
Recently took a short road trip to the great city of Houston, Texas to visit some relatives and also to view a special exhibition at The Museum of Fine Arts. While I was in Houston I had lunch at Lucille's, a restaurant that has been on my radar for the last couple of years. My party of 4 was quickly seated, as we did have a reservation. We started lunch with Fried Green Tomatoes and they were hot and delicious. For the main entree my cousin's wife and I both ordered the Yardbird, which is 2 pieces of Fried Chicken (leg & thigh) with smoked mashed potatoes and FRESH Collard Greens with a side of cornbread. My sister ordered the seared scallops with a side of Collard Greens, my cousin decided on the Hot Chicken Sandwich with Fries. EVERYTHING and I do mean EVERYTHING was on point. No complaints, the food was Absolutely Scrumptious and the service was Exceptional (Thanks Joseph). We finished lunch with dessert, warm bread pudding with berries on top ????. Definitely a Winner.
