Best bbq I’ve had in the area! The pulled pork sandwich was fantastic along with all the sauce choices. I also tried the brisket which was very good but a bit dry. Would love to see them connect their main checkout system with the bar so you can order a drink at the same time as your meal. For now you’ll need to make a second stop at the bar if you want one.

The brisket was on par with any I've had at the icons of Texas barbecue. Perfect execution. The sides (pimento mac and cheese, collards) were also excellent. We loved the fun side car drinks, like the aperol spritz made with a Miller High Life pony instead of prosecco. Beyond the brisket and drinks, the SERVICE deserves mention. Being able to order drinks while in line? Brilliant. And everyone who worked there was welcoming, friendly and helpful -- French Laundry service at a barbecue joint! My one area for improvement would be (ironically) the eastern NC barbecue, which was unexceptional. Perhaps it was luck of the draw in our helping. Given what they've achieved with brisket, which is really, really challlenging, I have no doubt that their "cue" will rise to the occasion. Excellent BBQ addition to downtown Raleigh. Brisket and sides are delicious. Will be coming back to try more of the menu soon. Great indoor and outdoor seating. Full bars (one indoor one outdoor) and also several local beers on tap. Swine State is a Kellerbier brewed by Burial specifically for Longleaf. Pairs nicely with everything. Staff is friendly and quick to help. Get there early if possibly, lines form. Looking forward to my next visit.
