Lola 55 Tacos & Cocktails

Server was attentive and kind. Cocktails were good (the one with watermelon and mint was incredible). We had the squash blossom taco and the fish taco - both were excellent. The squash blossom really blew me away. They coaxed an incredible amount of flavor and depth out of a vegan dish - well done. Very impressed. The fish was also very well done. Nice and fresh tasting with some great, bold flavor from the chilies. The Caesar salad was delicious - honestly one of the best Caesars I've ever had. However, it was pretty tough to eat without making a giant mess due to the plating choice. I'd switch that up personally, but it's a nitpick. Thanks for a great experience.

Super inventive veggie tacos and really delicious meat tacos and quesadilla. It was really nice to have multiple delicious options for my friend who is vegetarian and really good meat options as well. Under $15 per person for 3 tacos or for 3 meat quesadilla. Cauliflower was citrusy with spice. Mushroom was Smokey with spice Squash blossom was fried with a little spice. Steak had some nice crunchy onions and was cooked super well. Carnitas + tomatillo was perfect combo. My fav was the quesadilla Oaxaca with steak. The cheese on the inside was crisped so it had a nice crunch. Probably my favorite of them all.

Interesting takes on the taco standards. The mesquite steak was legit excellent and packed with flavor. The vegan squash blossom taco with beet soyrizo was a total surprise and delicious. I didn’t get much out of the Baja Fish, unfortunately. Fun place for a drink and some snacks.
