Overall mediocre experience. Food was good - chicken and grits was great, croque madam was good. Service was slow but our waitress was nice. The steak and egg came out without the egg, waited another 10 minutes for the egg to come, by which time the other components of the dish were practically ice cold

The service wasn't great. Wait time was long for drinks and food. The food was ok, proteins were cooked well but the sides that were paired were unusual flavor and texture wise, and honestly not enjoyable. A lot of pickled and a lot of raw elements that weren't advertised as such on the menu. My fiance and I didn't even touch them. I would have happily bought something else in addition to my meal from the small plates section of the menu, however when we let the waitress know that we weren't super happy, her first response was to mention that the chef when to culinary school. Huge turn off. I am not doubting the chef's skill, I just didn't care for it, and they lost out on the potential for more revenue. Moments after finishing my fish I had such stomach distress (Not sure if it was because the salmon was very pink inside and had a strong odor or the oily sauce) we quickly paid and left so I could go home and rest. Cute place with delicious food and drinks. Awesome customer service and it is pet friendly! They have a nice patio area :)
