Food was tasty and priced well, and service was pretty quick. Some of the best fried okra I've had in years. Would have been 5 stars, but I got squash instead of macaroni. It was still good! But come on, man, when your heart wants mac and cheese, anything else is going to be a disappointment.
Really great place for some awesome southern home cooking with a side of southern hospitality. Local place and found only in the midlands. Todd was a great waiter and took the time to explain the restaurant's founding and made sure we felt welcomed. Definitely will go back, even if for take out.
Our server was great. He was a very personable gentleman. We got there after 4, so the restaurant was not very busy. Once we ordered, our food was out on minutes. The food was good country cooking, as for what you would want from this type of restaurant. Very pleased with the service and will be back.
