Must Try Dishes
Limón is known for its Peruvian delicacies and its first must-try dish is Pollo a la Brasa, a perfectly roasted, marinated chicken served with two housemade dipping sauces. Additionally, enjoy Ceviche Mixto, a medley of seafood marinated in citrus juice and Peruvian spices, a true delight for seafood lovers. If you're an adventurous eater, don't miss Anticuchos de Corazon, a skewered beef heart dish seasoned with traditional Peruvian spices. Cap off your meal with Tres Leches cake, a classic Latin dessert with a creamy, sweet finish.

The ceviche is delicious. I ordered the trio and couldn’t choose a best one, they were all flavorful in their own way. I recommend getting the extra order of taro chips on the side because they don’t come with many in the order itself. If you are looking for a non-alcoholic refreshing drink, I highly recommend the chicha morada—it’s made with purple corn, fruit and spices. It kind of tastes like a lighter mulled wine, not too sweet and not too sour! The bar service was great, and the staff were very friendly. There are also electric outlets under the bar which was a lifesaver b/c my phone was about to die. When I’m in SF again, I will definitely go back.
Our dinner here at Limon was excellent! Flavors on point. Our server was Star & Pancho, friendly and attentive. Chef Rolando and manager Ramez were so welcoming! Thank you, everyone, at Limón!
I come to this place with an expectation that the roast chicken would be unprecedented because of the hype. Well, the roast chicken is indeed good but not to the level that surprised me. However, the ceviche! I am usually skeptical with the ceviche because it tends to be small and one dimensional flavor - sour. Worse than that, bland. However, the ceviche here is rich. I love how creative it is to put fried items in the ceviche without being soggy. There are fun things to chew on along fresh seafood. Oh yes the snapper is very fresh. And most importantly, the dressing for the ceviche that we got is not only sour but had a kick of chili and shallots. I wiped the plate with the yuca fries and chips. Would love to try other ceviches and other dishes more next time.
