Life’s Good Bar & Grill

I reallyyy wanted to like this place, but… We went on a Sunday afternoon and had the cheeseburger and the Texas hotdog (both ok). The food was priced fair, $12, $11 with 2 fries at an extra cost. The drink prices were decent (given the bartender didn’t have a “heavy” hand). HOWEVER, I am completely disturbed by this “delivery fee” for a dine-in tab. It’s a whopping 25% of our bill. No one told us about it and I had to ask several follow up questions before the staff admitted that this is an automatic gratuity. I’m sorry but the service was not deserving of a 25% tip! It wasn’t terrible but to give customers no choice and no warning is petty theft. It has potential but smoking is permitted at a place where kids and pets are welcome. Parking sucks as with most places on Greenville Ave. I will not be back, ever.

Reviewing Chirp's Chicken, not the bar ... top notch food, enormous portions -- an order of three tenders with fries is easily enough for two, maybe three, people at lunch. Medium heat ("Nashville") is a perfect balance of spice and just plain excellent fried chicken. Waffle fries and sauces great too - even the Texas toast is well done.

This place is, without a doubt, my favorite dive bar I have ever been to! The staff here were phenomenal, the drinks were great and reasonably priced (especially considering all the clubs surrounding them), the food truck they had serving as a fist kitchen was amazing as well. I was unfortunately only visiting Dallas, so I cannot frequent LG Taps as often as I would like, but if you find yourself in the area or are a local looking for a comfortable spot to call your home-bar, please give them a shot!
