Lee Cafe

Lee Cafe offers primarily Szechuan style Chinese food with some Cantonese and even sushi mixed in. Usually I avoid places that double dip cuisines. Offering everything = master of nothing. That said, the Szechuan part of the menu at Lee is solid. For appetizers, the Szechuan Wontons are spicy and juicy. Some of the best in the area. Top entrees include a hot Mapo Tofu, Spicy Chili Chicken which numbs the mouth and brings sweat to the brow, a solid Kung Pao and Dry Fried String Beans. Service is efficient albeit cold but whatever. It’s what you get. The ambience of the restaurant isn’t overly impressive but the food shines so it’s worth a trip. Parking is simple in the shopping center lot. If you want spicy, as-close-to-authentic-as-you’ll-find around CLT. Honest food, make the drive over the border down to Fort Mill.

Really good food and great service. It was packed when we got there so we had to wait around 20 mins for a table but it was worth the wait! We had the egg rolls and fried dumplings for an appetizer. Though the egg rolls were smaller than we expected, they were very good. We had the vegetable lo mein and the spicy shredded garlic pork. Both were delicious and plenty to take home for lunch tomorrow.

Our first time trying Lee Cafe and it was very well prepared. The rice was more like a sticky rice and very delicious. The Sesame Chicken good, Seaweed Salad, tasty, California Roll good, Spring Roll good, just a bit greasy. Dumplings streamed and fried, well prepared. Egg Drop Soup, good. Food was not overly salted. Will order take out from here again. Impressed. See photos. Parking: Plenty of parking.
