If you want real southwest US Mexican food, this is the place. Reminds me of my grandmother's home made food. Handmade tortillas are unbelievably good. Tacos are perfect as are the beans. Also a bargain. We ordered two meals, with a bottled water and a soda for $15! … More
Came here for tacos on a recommendation. There was a line going out the door and down the street, which it took about 30 minutes to get to the front. You order from their simple menu and they make it right there in front of you before paying. It is CASH ONLY, so ensure you're carrying at least $10. Abuela was working the register with the help of a tia. Other tias were the cooks. I ordered pork tacos in corn tortilla shells and loaded with the usual. The taco was really delicious and juicy. There are multiple areas to sit if you want to eat in, or you can take away you order. I would definitely come back again.
It's funny seeing all these people review this place as if they have grown with authentic Mexican food. This isn't your American-washed "taco shop." There is no hot "sauce" here, it's SALSA. Nothing here is appropiated it is all authentic and fresh. Definitely worth the wait if you know what you're getting if not you should definitely stick to your white-washed taco shops and Cali burritos if that's what meets your standards in taste. Worth every penny and every second you wait in line.
