La Bodeguita De Mima Cuban Restaurant and Rum Bar

I highly recommend this place. The atmosphere is so amazing - I didn’t want to leave. The food is delicious. You could close your eyes and point to a dish on the menu and not be disappointed. The service was excellent. There was even a live saxophone player performing all night. I will absolutely be returning soon. I highly recommend placing a reservation on the OpenTable app or calling to reserve.

The food was the best food I’ve had in a long time. The layers of flavors are just amazing. I love Cuban food and this was just out of this world. The presentation was just as good. My husband got the ropes vieja, which was in the can. They bring it out hot& open it in front of you. It is purely for presentation& to link the realities of living in Cuba. The flavors of the dish are rich, the beef tender, and taste nothing of canned food. It’s evident Inside and outside the restaurant the time they’ve taken to decorate & style the restaurant. Even the bathroom was well decorated (which in many places are an after thought to decorate). We had our meal on the front porch, which was a lovely experience. It’s a great view, and was a little more quiet than inside which was great for conversation. The best word to describe our waiter is warm. He was genuine, friendly, and hospitable. Amazing food. Amazing service. Amazing atmosphere. All the dishes tried were delicious. The presentation of the food was excellent and with large portions. Only downside was the saltiness of the food. Slightly over salted in general. But everything was amazing. The rice is extremely well cooked and perfect to taste and doneness. The meats are juicy and flavorful. I can tell the chicken was probably tenderized but I'm glad it's not dry and hard. The flavors will wow you. Must try.
