Terrible food. I went to Portland Mercado to have some lunch at my favorite place Que Bacano but since it was closed I decided to give La Arepa a chance. I ordered 1 empanada that took forever to be served. It was gross and greasy with very little carne at all! My mother in-law also ordered a plain arepa which one was uncooked. We ended throwing the “food” in the garbage can. I have to add that the service was really bad as well. The server had a bad attitude.
Authentic Venezuelan arepas. It's a fun family friendly place. There are lots of food trucks with a nice variety of food options to choose from.
Best arepa I’ve ever had in my life. Crisp, hot, every element seasoned to perfection, generous avocado and reasonably priced. The sauces are equally delicious—try the milk-based one! The rice and black beans were perfect as well. Love it when a place isn’t afraid to season well. Really glad a friend recommended this place. I will happily drive the 12 miles for my next arepa fix. Parking: Big lot off to the side.
