The Beef Chow Fun is delicious! It's like if broccoli beef and drunken noodles had a delicious umami baby. The servings are *very* generous, too. This place is not really a restaurant, so it's best to call in your order and pick it up. They make their amazing fresh noodles and tofu for distribution to restaurants. They also make their own soy milk and it is tasty! The service is super fast and the employees are really nice and helpful. Don't be put off by the place- the front counter area is essentially used for storage. Definitely a hidden gem in SE Portland.

JC Rice Noodle's definitely one of those places that are super easy to pass right by, and so I'm especially glad that I gave it a shot. Definitely not your sit-down restaurant affair—more of a combination food stand and East Asian-specialty corner store—but my vegetable chow fun (suggested by the cashier) was cooked to perfection, super fresh, and seasoned just lightly enough. Wonderfully friendly staff, and the wait was quite short.

Love this place for their fresh rice noodles. They also can cut it up for you if requested. I’ve had a couple friends mention they’ve ordered the entrees and had good reviews as well! Funny thing is that however many lbs you order, they always add a couple lbs extra. Doesn’t hurt to have more and to support a small business though. Big tip: always call to order ahead of time
