Konnichiwa Sushi & Bar

Great happy hour deals, sushi rolls for under $11. It's a quaint place, they do have outside seating too. Service was fast and friendly.

TLDR; Poor service and overpriced food. My party of three was seated quickly, but then were immediately ignored. Many other customers that came in after us were given drinks and had their orders taken as we watched in astonishment. Just as we were about to walk away, the waitress came over and gave a very half-hearted apology and excuses. Giving her a second try, we ordered and then were promptly ignored again. The food came out in phases, and one persons roll was 5 minutes behind the others, leaving us to stare at our food waiting politely. We had to ask for soy sauce…another 5 minute wait. Finally the check was brought out. Four rolls and a lemonade came to just under $100. I won’t be back.

Konnichiwa has a great atmosphere and excellent food. I've had their ramen, about half their rolls and sushi, and a few other items, all great! Prices are great considering the area and the dining room (and accompanying outdoor dining) have a fun vibe. My personal favorite roll, and a high recommend on my part, would be the salmon skin roll. Nice crunchy smoked salmon skin give that thing a flavor I haven't found elsewhere at sushi spots around San Diego. Sometimes I'll come here just for that roll!
