For the best pancakes in town go to Kaye’s Kitchen! Every time I visit Orange County I have to go to Kaye’s for the pancakes and eggs with sausage links. All the food at this old fashioned diner in old town Garden Grove is great. Come here for service with a smile and reasonable prices for a great feed. Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: Yes … More
Kaye's is a great little diner, that will make you feel like you are back in the 1950's. Located on the small stretch of "historic" Main St in Garden Grove, Kaye's has seating inside, and a few tables out on the sidewalk. The wait staff are friendly and very casual. The feeling here is more of friends and neighbors gathering for an informal meal and socializing.
We decided to go for breakfast on Sunday morning. My only criticism of this place is how crowded it was, but after having had breakfast here I understand why they were at capacity. We got the French toast and eggs benedict with home fries. My daughter loved her french toast with a side of bacon and eggs. My plate of eggs benedict with home fries was absolutely delicious. The eggs benedict were some of the best I've ever had. The home fries were thick cut potatoes served with bell peppers and onions. I haven't had home fries that good since my grandma would make them when I was a kid. The restaurant staff were doing their absolute best considering how outnumbered they were. The restaurant has a max capacity of 70 while there's an additional 8 to 10 tables outside right on historic main st. The bonus of going on Sunday was being able to walk the little Farmers market after having breakfast Update: 4/30/22. It's a lot less crowded on Saturday morning then it is on Sunday.
