PERFECT!! Just what we had hoped for. The Roast Duck was superb, the Hot & Sour Soup was excellent, the Pork Fried Rice was divine and the Shrimp with Garlic was amazing! The ladies running the place are extremely helpful, kind and appreciative. We WILL return.****NEXT TIME we are trying the BBQ Pork, it's supposed to be the BEST in town and heaven knows a TON of folks were walking in buying it by the bag full!
First time at KauKau after hearing about it for several years. I grabbed a whole roasted duck and a lb of BBQ pork. Duck: so tender. While duck can be inherently greasy, it wasn't overtly greasy. The best part is that flavorful skin that still has a bit of chewy fat (yes I know I just said it was overtly greasy but iykyk????) BBQ pork: gawd! There is a sweet and savory element to the BBQ. With slight little caramelized crispy bits throughout the pieces is just bonus to flavor and texture. Service: exceptional! I had gotten a small lunch special and the gal continued to update me while I waited. I am firmly on the KauKau band wagon.
I love the Roasted Duck here. It’s well-seasoned and the meat is juicy and soft. We also had the triple seafood and vegetables, which was also very tastyyyy. The price is resonance and the bill included 15% tip already. Highly recommend and will come again ????
