Karsen's Grill

First time here and I will definitely be back. This has 6 inside tables and an 8 person or so bar plus some outside tables. They had an off the menu special of grilled or fried fish and chips. These could be served in fish tacos which were excellent. My side salad came with a pretty blue blue cheese salad dressing wbich was mild and very good. Sandy had the fried fish and chips. Her fries were seasoned and good. Rob had the Thai salmon sandwich which smelled devine. Rob did not share and finished every bite. He had a side of potstoe salad. We had a taster of a single malt irish whisky i had not tried and then a tried and true Glenfiddich 12 year old single malt. Good nigbt with conversation between the tables and our really good servers and bar temders. This was a really fun night.

So glad we came across Karsen’s! Service and food were amazing! Atmosphere was cozy and unique! Love the salad, It really was “sooooo gooood” just as stated on the menu. Amazing hatch mac and cheese! Definitely will be back!

This place was… fine. I do not understand all the rave reviews, it was pub food and it was good enough but not great. Two complaints: the menu and our waiter. The menu doesn’t list individual prices, just price ranges for each section. So you either have to guess how much your food costs or ask your waiter what individual items cost. Also there was no price at all listed for the sides; I got a sandwich that came with a side, and since there weren’t prices listed I assumed I could just pick. Then, when we got the bill, there was an additional $2 charge for sweet potato fries. The waiter went out of his way to tell me they were sweet, not savory, but didn’t bother to tell me they cost extra. My friend asked our waiter if it was possible to get the nachos without steak (she is vegetarian). He said no, and then said the kitchen refuses to make any substitutions to anything at all, and reiterated they wouldn’t remove a central ingredient from a dish.
