JOI Asian Bistro

I was doing a little shopping as one does in the domain and hunger struck. I don’t have a lot of confidence in the restaurants in the domain, many are subpar. Don’t get me wrong there many that are quality but the number of great restaurants is small. Joi surprised me. Cocktails were great! we sat the bar and bartenders were personable and helpful. Food is a bit all over the map, literally, there’s many different types of Asian cuisine on the menu. They were solid. I wouldn’t say the most authentic especially considering they are a fusion restaurant but they did a decent representation of those foods.

This place was just WOW. Sushi rolls were amazing, lobster tacos was my favorite . The waiter was very nice, always smiling . The only sad thing is that we came at 3:10 on a Sunday and $5 mimosas were from 11 to 3pm and they didn’t sell us the mimosas for that price :(. But we enjoyed our Sunday date anyways. The place is beautiful, perfect for a brunch or dinner with your friends.

Went on a Friday evening for dinner and the place was packed and bustling with loud music and energy. If you are looking for a quite evening, this is not the place. Best to make a reservation if you are heading here. Coming to the service and food, it was quick and the food tasted delicious. We got shisito peppers, Taiwanese popcorn chicken, chicken dumplings and shio ramen (apologies for the shaken photo). We had 3 appetizers and shared an entree and we were still left feeling hungry. The appz were good. The ramen was ok, the noodles were chewy and good but the broth could have been better. We had 2 drinks and they tasted good as well The reason for 4 star rating is the quantity of food for the cost paid. I didnt pay $12 for 3 dumplings and 5 pieces of tiny fried chicken for $13. If you are thinking of eating ramen here, you are better off eating at jinya ramen.
