I am not a vegan, not even a vegetarian, not even a healthy eater really. Having said that, this place is delicious. Very much a 20s French bistro style with a domain edge. Really big place, I assumed it would be smaller, lots of space both inside and out. It's order at the door, then pick a seat and wait with your number stand. The staff was very helpful with the menu, and did a great job taking care of a big restaurant and bussing tables. Jane helped us and really made our meal feel special. Thank you Flower Child, the bird is the word wrap is delicious!
We sat outside, very comfortable with good weather. We had the daily soup, which turned out to be not what we were expecting,. other ingredients and watered down. My Bird is the Word wrap was very good. I think the girl that took our order at the counter did not know what she was doing. My wife had to return and order what she really wanted. Kid-friendliness: We had our 3 year old and our 1 year old with us and we were comfortable outside. My older son had the Kid's Chicken. Parking: Very limited in the street, but the parking structure is a few yards away with many spaces available.
A friend recently asked me to describe Flower Child and, on the spot, I hastily snapped "Hippy Chic." Which turns out to be pretty darned accurate! Flower Child brings all your dietary restrictions together with the latest in culinary trends married up with healthy ingredients. The result: healthy food that you CRAVE!! I love this place, it's probably my go-to recommendation in the Domain. It literally has something for every diet, including the "I don't care as long as it tastes amazing" diet! Highly recommend - try the Glow Bowl if you go! ????????
