Very nice restaurant in the heart of downtown Birmingham. A great place for lunch/dinner and a drink. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. The portions are very reasonable for the price. John's is within walking distance of several clubs and the newest hotel downtown.
Absolutely incredible meal! Service was top notch and so welcoming. Started with an old school old Forrester old fashioned and pimento cheese with warmed toast. Sooooo good. Highly recommend the Asian Chicken & Waffles! Crystallized ginger waffle, fried chicken with soy maple syrup, black sesame seeds, cilantro & scallion. Hubby had a HUGE pork chop with mashed potatoes & gravy.
I am so delighted. What amazing food! Had the mac & cheese added grilled shrimp to it. Unbelievable! Also had the frozen lemonade dessert. Could not have been better! Super service from Trudy. I’d recommend this to anyone!
